Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a high-precision, simply-constructed colorimeter for multi-wavelength fluids, by employing a plurality of translucent mirror for use in dividing the light passing through a flow cell in which a sample solution flows, and wavelength selection filters through which the divided light is passed to measure the respective light absorption coefficient. CONSTITUTION:At least one translucent body 3 is provided in that portion of a light passage L1 which is after a flow cell 2, which light passage L1 is extended from a light source 1 through the light flow cell 2 in which a sample solution flows. Divided light measuring and processing circuits 5, 6 are provided for the divided light from the translucent mirror 3. The processing circuit 5 is a dapted to allow only homogeneous light component of a predetermined main wavelength of the reflection light on a branch light passage L1a to be passed through a filter 11 provided on a light receiving element 12. A signal S3 representative of a measurement value is then output from the light receiving element 12. A signal S4 representative of a measurement value amplified by a preamplifier 13, and an amplified signal S2 representative of a reference value are synchronously input into a light absorption coefficient converter 14, in which these signals are subjected to comparison andoperation to output a signal S5 representative of light absorption coefficient into a recorder 7. The divided light measuring and processing circuit 6 has the same functions as the divided light measuring and processing circuit 5. Thus, a high-precision, simply-constructed colorimeter for multi-wavelength fluids can be obtained.
