Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the photo scanning hologram of a large scanning angle with an ordinary lens by letting the hologram made through interference of divergent spherical wave and plane wave interfere with the focusing spherical wave reconstructed by the plane wave radiated from the direction opposite from that at the making and the divergent spherical wave.
CONSTITUTION: The light beam out from a light source such as laser is divided by a semi-transparent mirror or the like and one light beam 11 thereof is focused at the point 13 by a lens 12 so that it is reached as divergent spherical wave 14 to a photoreceptor 15. The other light beam is made to plane wave 16 by way of a collimator and is reached to the photoreceptor 15. When it is interfered with the spherical wave 14, the interference fringes are recorded in the photoreceptor 15. When the plane wave 17 is radiated to the photoreceptor 15 from its back in the direction opposite from that at the making, then the focusing spherical wave 14 of the arrow 18 is reconstructed as diffracted light. Hence, if this hologram is used, the need for any large-aperture focusing lens is eliminated and if it is suitably cut, an arbitrary interference angle may be obtained and therefore the hologram of a large scanning angle may be readily made.
