Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent escaping of gas component in the globule while checking infiltration of foreign components from refrigerant by dropping and queching globule of substance melted at a high temperature on a cooling material sufficiently large in the heat capacity provided on the bottom of a tank filled with a refrigerant.
CONSTITUTION: When a melted material in a crucible 6 drops in a refrigerant tank 1 filled with liquid nitrogen as refrigerant 2 for instance, a good granular specimen free of blow hole is obtained. Cooling the cooling agent having a sufficient heat capacity by the refrigerant allows the maintaining of the entire tank 1 at a low temperature. Therefore, when the grobule melted at a high temperature drops into a refrigerant 2, the surface of the globule is quenched and solidified instantaneously. The solidified film thus formed can prevent the escaping of the gas component in the globule while checking the infiltration of foreign components from the refrigerant.
