Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the noise and to improve the efficiency of an axial blower by using blades, the area 5W10% of the height of the blade from the edge of which is designed to provide an axial-flow rate of approximately 10% lower than the standard axial flow rate, to unify the flow rate distribution.
CONSTITUTION: Reference numerals 2 and 3 designate a suction fan and an exhaust fan, respectively. The fans 2 and 3 provided with blades, each of which having an area 5W10% of the height of the blade from the edge designed to provide an axial- flow rate approximately 10% lower than the standard axial-flow rate. Guide vanes 6 are fixed between the fans 2 and 3. A guard 7 is fixed to the casing of the blower. Arrows 9 designate the vectors of the axial-flow rate of the air delivered by the fan 2. Reference numeral 9a designates the axial-flow rate distribution. The distribution of the axial-flow rates is uniform over the entire range of the height of the blades so that the noise is reduced and the efficiency of the blower is improved.
