Abstract

PURPOSE: To stabilize flow within impeller, to improve capacity of a fan, and to reduce noises by making the impeller three dimensional blade which matches the air flow, by enlarging a diameter of an inlet port of the impeller and by enlarging outer diameter of a blade on an inlet part side.
CONSTITUTION: A blade 13 of a fan is, as shown in the figure, three-dimensioned and a blade on an inlet side part is cut off, and an inlet port diameter D1s on a shroud 12 side is set to be larger than an inlet port diameter D1h on a hub 11 side. Being thus designed, a difference between a wind velocity V2 and a wind velocity V3 becomes small as the wind velocity V2 at an inlet part of the fan becomes small to flow the air smoothly and to make an aireddy at the blade inlet part small, so that the intensity of air can be increased and noises can be reduced. Furthermore, D1s/D1h=1.1W1.3 is desirable. Also, by extending a blade length l3 on the shroud 12 side and setting a blade outer diameter D2s larger than a hub outer diameter D2h to reduce breaking away at the blade surface, capacity of the fan can be improved and noises can be reduced.
