Abstract
PURPOSE: To stop the tail of material accurately in short time, by providing means for caclculating the stopping distance of tail from the diameter of coil, means for setting the rotary angle of winder, multiplier means for correcting the error due to the inertia at the stopping position, speed setting means, and a comparator for providing deceleration command.
CONSTITUTION: The distance L to the stopping target C is obtained from the diameter d of coil when the tail 1a passed through the tail detector 2, then the rotary angle of winder corresponding to said distance is preset in counter 4 while the gate 5 is opened by the output from said detector 2 to start the positioning control. The content of counter 4 is extracted by the pulse from pulse generator 3 supplied with the rotation of winder and provided to multiplier 21, and used together with the output from setter 20 for setting the inertia compensation to calculate the corrected running distance, then it is compared with the setting level of referential speed setter 6a to produce deceleration command.
