Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the color of a fluorescent lamp from being drifted with time by subsequently laminating the different phosphor layers with the large degree of deterioration on a lamp tube and forming the phosphor layer with the smallest degree of deterioration on its innermost end.
CONSTITUTION: Phosphor types are classified based on their degree of deterioration. The phosphor layer with the large degree of deterioration is subsequently laminated on the inside surface of the lamp tube 1 and the phosphor layer with the smallest degree of deterioration is formed on its innermost end. For example, the phosphor layer 2 with the large degree of light flux deterioration is formed on the inside surface of the lamp tube 1 and that 3 with the slightly smaller degree of deterioration is formed on it. Moreover, the phosphor 4 with the further smaller degree of deterioration is laminted on the surface of the layer 3. This permits the whole phosphor layer to have almost the uniform degree of deterioration and prevents its color from being drifted with time.
