Abstract

PURPOSE: To readily conduct an assembling work of a dehumidifier and reduce the cost of the dehumidifier by detachably mounting units to be assembled such as an evaporator, a condenser, a compressor, etc. by utilizing connector having elasticity in a cabinet as a unit to be assembled.
CONSTITUTION: A cabinet 30 is integrally formed of synthetic resin or the like and consists of a front panel 32 provided with an intake grille 31, a back panel 34 provided with an exhaust grille 33, a top panel 35, and a bottom panel 36. The cabinet 30 further incorporates integrally a generally T-shaped partition plate 40 formed therein to thereby divide the interior into a ventilator chamber 37, a machine chamber 38 and a drain chamber 39, etc. A dew retainer 47 and a motor base 51 are integrally formed at the partition plate 40. A connector 46 having a generally U- shaped retainer 44 and a connecting projecting piece 45 is integrally formed at the retainer 47. A connector 50 having an inverted L-shaped retainer 48 and a connecting projecting piece 49 is integrally formed at the base 51. An evaporator, a condenser, a blower, etc. are detachably mounted by utilizing these connectors, and a compressor is mounted at the connector 55 of the bottom panel 36.
