Abstract

PURPOSE: To make possible to change a rotary compressor to a compressing state and a non-compressing state exactly by constructing a solenoid coil from two winding parts and using absorbing force and repulsing force to control its action.
CONSTITUTION: A vane 5 which reciprocates corresponding to the motion of a piston 3 revolved by a motor separates refrigerant in a cylinder 2 to the high pressure side and the low pressure side. A solenoid 11 is provided to prevent one end of the vane 5 from contacting the piston 3 and inhibit the reciprocation of the vane. This solenoid 11 consists of a movable core 13 integral with the vane 5, a fixed core 13 and a coil 14. According to the direction of a DC current flowed through this coil 14, absorbing force or repusling force is generated between the two cores 12 and 13 and this repulsing force makes the piston 5 contact the circumference of the piston 3 and changes a rotary compressor 1 from a non-compressing state to the compressing state of refrigerant.
