Abstract

PURPOSE: To assure the safety by functioning both control valves and fluid actuator independently on the brake master cylinder thereby enabling the operation even during the fault of them.
CONSTITUTION: Front housing 2, piston 5 and valve 6 constitute one control valve while cylinder 21a and piston 23 constitute one fluid actuator. When one system of them is broken down to produce no pressure in the pressure chamber 21g, the brake pedal 1 is stepped strongly to close the hole 7b by means of the piston 5 to lift the valve 4 further thereby the compressed oil in the accumulator 26 is pressure supplied to the pressure chamber 24b. Upon returning of brake pedal 1, the valve 4 is set in the valve seat 3b while the port 3h is conducted to the reservoir 27 to eliminate the oil pressure in pressure chamber 24b. In such a manner it is functionable even under fault.
