Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the inserting force and to increase the drawing force of board member considerably, by constructing the holding rip with thining root section and a wedge section. CONSTITUTION:In a weather strip, the holding rips 12 projecting from both inner sides of holder body 7 is constructed with thining root section 13 where the portion from inner side of opening of said body 7 to the root section is sufficiently thick and a wedge section 15 coupled from the root section 13 through thin section 14. Here the thickness at the tip of said wedge 15 is such that the inside width of holder body 7 is approximately same with twice of said thickness plus the depth of body flange 8. Consequently when inserting said flange 8 into U-shaped holding section 11, it is easily enlarged by the resilient and hinge function at the thin section 14 of both wedge 15 and when drawing force is applied on the flange 8 the thin section is warped by the contacting fucntion to produce large resistance against the draw-out.
