Abstract

PURPOSE:To secure the connection via two lines between the data collecting device and the terminal unit with no power source by supplying the power synchronized with the clock to the terminal with no power source. CONSTITUTION:When data collecting device 1 starts operation, switching circuit 5 synchronizes with the internal clock to turn on and off the power source and then deliver the pulses onto transmission lines 10 and 11. Terminal unit 2 with no power source rectifies via rectifier circuit 7 the pulses sent from device 1 through line 10 and then extracts the power voltage. In addition to the rectification, circuit 7 extracts the clock pulses out of the pulses to supply them to register 9. Register 9 delivers the accumulated data to switching circuit 8 in sequence and in synchronization with the clock pulse supplied and then gives the modulation to the pulse duration on lines 10 and 11 each in accordance with the data. This pulse duration is monitored via pulse duration detector circuit 6, and the data within register 9 receive the detection.
