Abstract
PURPOSE:To keep the toner layer thickness roughly constant within the specified temperature range and obtain an excellent image, by providing a developer supporting means and a developer layer thickness defining means, and specifying the dimension between these linking parts and coefficient of thermal expansion in specified relations. CONSTITUTION:Opposite to a latent image holding member 1 are provided a developer supporting means 2, a means 6 to define the thickness of the layer of the developer being supplied, and a means 4 to connect them. Therefore, within the operating temperatures of -5 deg.C-35 deg.C, the toner layer thickness may be kept almost constant, so that an excellent image may be obtained.
