Abstract
PURPOSE:A fixed type catalyst contact reactor is made highly efficient enabling continuous stable operation by mounting curved catalyst bed instead of conventional flat one. CONSTITUTION:A fixed type catalyst contact reactor includes a raw material gas inlet 1, catalyst bed of curved structure 2, reacted gas outlet 3, and catalyst layer 4. The catalyst bed is constructed in a circular curve a, or oval curve b, and in the structure of a, the radius R of curve is related to the diameter D of catalyst bed as R:D= 1 : 0.5 to 2, with catalyst escape draft being provided at peripheral portion of catalyst layer.
