Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the defective detection precision of an inspected body by removing the output of a detection circuit from an inspection output by providing the circuit which detects only an error signal due to halation occurring outside of a region to be inspected. CONSTITUTION:Video signal 521 of inspected body 51 from television camera 52 is supplied to binary-coding circuit 55 making use of a level comparison set to threshold level 112, and binary-coding circuit 56 making use of that set to threshold level 113 to obtain binary coding outputs (B) and (C) respectively. Those outputs (B) and (C) are an error signal due to halation and inspection output including the error signal. Output (B) and output (C) having passed through inverter 57 are applied to NOR gate 58 to obtain insepction signal (E) which has an error signal component removed. Consequently, accurate inspection including no error due to halation can be realized.
