Abstract

PURPOSE: To automatically adjust ink feed amount, ensure clear printing, and conduct printing on an electronic part or the like by a method wherein the amount of light reflected by the ink deposited on the outside peripheral surface of a kneading rool, and detected light amount is fed back to a control system.
CONSTITUTION: A vertically movable ink feed adjusting roller 12 is rotated in contact with a roller 13, for application of ink 15. The roller 12 is lowered into contact with an ink kneading roller 11, to transfer the ink 15 onto the outside peripheral surface of the roller 11, and the ink 15 is spread in a uniform thickness by a spreading roller 18. On the other hand, light is projected onto the ink 15 upon the outside peripheral surface of the roller 11, and the amount of reflected light is measured by a terminal of a reflection type sensor 19. The result is decided by a decision unit 22 of a control system; when the detected amount is exceeding a set light amount range 22, the roller 12 is moved upward away from the roller 11; when the light amount is insufficient, the roller 12 is lowered for automatic adjustment of ink feed amount.
