Abstract

PURPOSE:To let the operation of optimized pressure-feeding and compressing time be accomplished by controlling the pressure-feeding and compressing processes of the dehydrator by the flow-down pressure of the filtrate having undergone dehydration. CONSTITUTION:Concentrated sludge 5 and addition chemicals 6 are mixed in a mixing tank 1 and the mixture is pressure-fed into a pressure type sludge dehydrator 4 by a sludge feed pump 2. The filtrate produced in the pressure-feeding and compressing processes flow downs to a ball 8 and causes an arm 9 to actuate by its flow-down force, thereby operating a limit switch 10. The detection value thereof is inputted to an operation control unit 12, which in turn controls a compressing valve 7, dehydrator 4 and pump 2, thus achieving the optimization of the dehydration process. Also, the control unit 12 outputs a dehydration process stop signal from the decrease in the filtrate effluent amount, causing the pressure-feeding process of the pump 2 and the compressing process of the dehydrator 4 to end. This mechanism lets the pressure type sludge dehydrator to be effectively operated.
