Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the device body from vibrating even if a large power is impressed on excitation lamps by constructing a coolant path of a flow path which cools the laser rod and a flow path which cools in parallel and simultaneously a plurality of excitation lamps. CONSTITUTION:Cooling water which has flowed into device proper 1 from supply path 15 flows in No.1 flow path 16 and cools laser rod 10; and then it flows in two flow paths 18, 18 and the divided flows of water cool simultaneously and in parallel excitation lamps 11, 11 and then flow out of outlet 17. Since No.2 flow paths 18, 18 are connected in parallel after flow path 16 in this way, the total length of the flow paths is small and the resistance exerted on the cooling water is small. For this reason, practically no pulsation occurs in the cooling water inside the paths. Hence, even if the power to be impressed on lamps 11, 11 is increased, the cooling water is prevented from heated extremely and boiling explosively, so that device proper 1 is prevented from vibrating.
