Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the air-conditioning effect by controlling the air blowing direction by adapting a fluid element for the blowing means of the air conditioner, with the interior wall thereof being shaped into a curved, outwardly spreading configuration, and opening in the wall surface the opposing control passages each having a valve disposed therein. CONSTITUTION:Control passages 8, 8' each having a valve 9 therein are opened in the wall 4 of a fluid element at the air outlet, with the openings being stepped outwardly with level differences of S1 and S2. The valve 9 is controlled by electromagnets 10, 10', and when disexcited, it is positioned at the middle point to open the control passages. When the valves of both control passages are disexcited, the walls 7, 7' are opened into the atmosphere through the control passages 8, 8' and the conditioning air is allowed to advance straight forwardly without adhering to the walls 7, 7' owing to the stepwise level differences S1, S2 at the openings. When one of the valves 9 is closed, opening to the atmosphere on the outside thereof is closed to form a deflected air flow adhering to the wall 7 or 7'. By thus controlling the three-way blowing directions of the conditioning air, there can be obtained the optimum air-conditioning.
