Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce an input during the operation and stabilize oil feed during the outer low temperature period by a system wherein a lubrication oil of naphthene mineral oil as a base having mainly low boiling point fraction with viscosity and lubricity within a specified range is enclosed within the bottom of the sealed case.
CONSTITUTION: A sealed type motor driven compressor 1 is incorporating a condenser 2, an expansion valve 3, and an evaporator 4 to define a refrigeration cycle. A compression unit 9 is connected with a crank shaft 8 directly coupled with the rotor 12 to enclose within the unit 10 solidly. The lubricant 11 enclosed in the bottom portion of the case 5 and obtained from raphthene mineral oil as a base having a viscosity of mainly low boiling point fraction ranged 7.0W13.0cst at 100°F, 2.0W2.5 cst at 210°F with the lubricity having a seizure load of more than 450 1bs by Falex test.
