CONSTITUTION:From transmitter 1, signals are sent via transmission lines 5-1, 5-2...5-n+1 and in receiver 6, power-off detector 8 detects power being OFF on the basis of the state of signals. Here, if a power supply to transmitter 1 is cut off, parity bits generated by parity generator 4 are added to respective signals of signal lines 2-1...2-n and then supplied to drivers 3-1...3-n, so that signals supplied to transmission lines 5-1...5-n will all be ''0''. Then, detector 8 of receiver 6 detects AND of inverters 10-1...10-n+1 via receivers 7-1...7-n+1 being ''1'' to detect a power break of the transmission side easily.
