Abstract

PURPOSE: To recover, by utilizing a capillary action, dew occurring in a discharge passage in a gas feed and discharge cylinder, in which the discharge passage is formed with a feed passage such that these passages have a boundary wall common thereto, by means of a wick of a water absorbing capacity which is provided in the discharge passage and which is sticked out at its one end portion from the discharge passage.
CONSTITUTION: A gas feed and discharge cylinder B is formed by a double cylinder consisting of an outer cylinder member 11 and an inner cylinder member 12. An outer gas passage constitutes a gas feed passage 14 which is communicated with the outside via a gas feed port 13 provided at that portion of the passage 14 which is outside a room. A gas feed connecting port 15 is provided at that portion of the passage 14 which is inside the room, which port 15 is connected to a combustion blower. On the other hand, an inner gas passage constitutes a gas discharge passage 17 which is communicated with the outside via a gas discharge port 16 provided at that portion of the cylinder B which is outside the room. A gas discharge connecting port 18 is provided at that portion of the passage 17 which is inside the room, which port 18 is connected to a heat exchanger. The gas feed and disharge cylinder B is inclined at its front end portion at an angle θ in the downward direction, and a water collecting section 21 is provided in the front end portion of the inner surface of the inner cylinder member 12. A thin pipe 23 through which a wick 22 of a high water absobing capacity is inserted is provided in the passage 17. The wick 22 is inseted at its one end into the water collecting section 21, and at the other end into a water guide pipe 24 in a moistening device.
