Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the formation of clinker and the adhesion of V2O5, etc., by mounting a plurality of nozzles for injecting air around a burner nozzle, in a starting burner installed to an empty tower portion of a fluid-layer furnace. CONSTITUTION:In a turning jet-layer furnace 1, an internal fluid medium 6 is provided with turning flows by air passing through the small holes 4 of a funnel- shaped porous plate 3 installed to a furnace base while jets are generated by the ascending currents of air injecting from a central base portion of the porous plate 3. A burner cylinder 7 for a starting burner is mounted to a lower portion of an empty tower 5 disposed to an upper portion of the porous plate 3, and an air injection port 10 is circularly installed around its burner nozzle 8. Consequently, air is injected so as to cover flames from the air injection port 10 when heating the fluid medium 6 by using the starting burner 8 in case of starting, thus preventing the formation of clinker and the adhesion of V2O5 on an inner surface of the burner cylinder 7.
