Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate the need for inclining an incident or exit surface with respect to a total reflecting surface by providing diffraction grating structures to one surface of the optical member.
CONSTITUTION: A total reflecting optical member 15 such as liquid by way of an auxiliary prism 17, a material 18 of a refractive index close to that of the auxiliary prism 17, a photoreceptor layer 16, a total reflecting optical member 15 provided with a diffraction grating, a material 31 such as liquid having a refractive index equivalent to that of the auxiliary prism 30 and auxiliary prism 30 are subsequently laminated above the beam splitter 26 and reflecting mirror 27 disposed on the luminous flux line of a laser oscillator 22. If with this arrangement the beam 23 emitted from the laser oscillator 22 is split and mutually coherent two luminous fluxes 19, 20 are entered to the auxiliary prism 17, three-dimensional interference fringes are produced in the photosensitive layer 16 by the incident luminous fluxes 28, 29 and the total reflecting optical member 15 having diffraction grating structures 35, 36 is obtained through development of the photosensitive layer 16, thus the total reflecting luminous fluxes may be led to the specified surface even without inclining the incident or exit surface with respect to the total reflecting surface 21.
