Abstract

PURPOSE: To convey powdery material by wrapping it in a tube which is prone to curl itself, under the condition of no load, in the radial and longitudinal direction, the tube's both edges tending to lie one upon another by some margin for completing the wrapping.
CONSTITUTION: Compound raw rubber made of natural raw rubber or synthetic rubber mixed with a preset quantity of compounding agents such as vulcanizing agent, vulcanization accelerator, softener, antioxidant and filler is pressure attached to a fabric cord 2. This raw rubber sheets are laminated one upon another and vulcanized, being held between hot plates under pressure, by means of steam or electric heat at about 145°C for thirty minutes, and then its upper side is forcibly cooled with water while the lower side being kept heated. The tube 1 thus produced is prone to roll itself just like a pipe under no load. This tube 1 is held by holding frames 5 between upper and lower rollers 3, 4. Powdery material put in the tube 1 from a hopper 7 is automatically wrapped in the tube 1 and conveyed upward to a receiver 8, without being spilt on the way.
