Abstract

1331036 Endless conveyers B F GOODRICH CO 20 April 1972 [21 April 1971] 18334/72 Heading B8A A catenary type roller assembly for a conveyer belt 25 has roller members 10-14 connected by tapes 22 of rubberized fabric which are vulcanized on to the rollers while the tapes are necked by a ring 26. The ring may be retained or removed. Rubber 23 may fill the gaps between the tapes on the rollers and a rubber cover may be superimposed on the tapes and filler 23. Bearing assemblies 17 are hung from framework 20. The tapes may be formed from a single sheet which has cut-outs (36), Fig. 5 (not shown). Parallel or criss-cross cords may be used in place of the fabric for the tapes. The rubber for the tapes may be dispensed with, other means then being used to fasten the tapes to the rollers.
