Abstract

CONSTITUTION: An insulator ring 202 is arranged on the circumference of the electrode 104 in a probe 200 provided with the electrode 104, a stay 106 and a holder 108 in such a manner as to be screwed thereon. The distance H between the electrode 104 and the surface of the work 10 can be changed by varying the engagement degree between the ring 202 and the electrode 104. The change in the measured value due to the density can be corrected simply by changing the intensity of electric line of force. The relationship between the density and the distance H can be set with a handy scale 210 in such a manner that the electrode 104 is brought closer to the surface of the work when the specific gravity is high while it is separated away from the surface thereof when the specific gravity is low.
