Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the reactive power and improve the power-factor in a power supply system, by changing the secondary voltage of a power transformer depending on the speed of a moving body.
CONSTITUTION: At time t1, a signal circuit D2 generates an output on the basis of a signal from the track of a moving body T. As a result, an AND circuit C1 generates an output to apply an instruction to two sides of a compact motor A1. The motor is caused to continue reverse rotation until other time t2 so that the secondary voltage V2 of a transformer T1 constituting an induced voltage regulator is reduced. Because the circuit D2 generates no output since the time t2, the motor A1 is rotated forward by the output voltage Vn of a speed detector SD to raise the voltage V2 of the transformer T1. At transfer from a section to another due to the movement of the moving body T, signal circuits D1∼D4 produce outputs separately to change the secondary voltages of the transformers T1, T2. This results in reducing reactive power and improving the power-factor in ordinary movement and reducing the fluctuation in the reactive power at section transfer.
