Abstract

PURPOSE: To miniaturize and economize a circuit, by displaying conditions in the case when there happens a trouble by the output of detectors for detecting the trouble of a printer, and by using starting pulses as resetting pulses.
CONSTITUTION: Detectors 13, 14, 15 consisting of luminous diodes and semiconductor light receiving elements are mounted in order to monitor the operation of this mechanism. If only a signal 21 is obtained when there happens a trouble, the sucking force of a solenoid 12 is insufficient or a shift-in stop lever 9 is broken or damaged or the adjustment of the lever is destroyed. When the signal 21 and an output signal 22 are not gained, a cause of the trouble is restricted to the parts of a clutch 19, a shift cam 7 and a shift lever 6. When the three of the signal 21 and output signals 22, 23 are acquired and the operation of shift-in and shift-out is imperfect, parts after the shift lever 6 are damaged. Thus, a location causing the trouble can be detected for a short time when there happens the trouble by installing detectors for monitoring operation to one portion of a mechanism portion.
