Abstract

CONSTITUTION: To improve fluorine based cationic exchange membrane, (A) soln. or dispersion of perfluoropolymer which contains (a) carboxyl gp. or (b) functional gp. capable of being converted to carboxyl gp. is deposited on (B) the surface of fluorine based cationic exchange membrane, and then (C) solvent or (D) dispersion medium is removed. Here, the gp. (b) is selected from CN gp., COX gp. (X is OR1, NR2R3, F, Cl, Br, where R1, R2, and R3 are H, 1W18C alkyl), and CF2X' gp. (X' is Cl, Br, and I).
