Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the performance of a rotary anode X-ray tube by forming the rotary shaft with a silicon nitride ceramic of an excellent high temperature strength.
CONSTITUTION: A spindle 19 is concentrically fixed within a blinder-cylindrical rotor 6 with a conductive member 18 between the rotor 6 and the spindle 19. A flange 22 of the spindle 19 and a flange 21 of the conductive member 18 are jointly fixed to the blinding bottom of the rotor 6 by screws 11. The spindle 19 is made of a silicon nitride, such as Si3N4. The rotor 6 and a bearing 13 are electrically connected by connecting the conductive member 18 penetrating through the spindle 6 with a bearing nut 17 by a metallic piece 23.
