Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable to measure the flow rate of powder easily, by providing the rotary drum with no wings or radial wings beneath the vibrating conveyor discharge and detecting the weight dropped on the drum via beam.
CONSTITUTION: Powder is discharged from the discharge of the supplying unit 1 of vibrating trough and it is dropped on the rotary drum 2 provided beneath it. The end of the beam 4 supported with the fulcrum 3 is linked at the center of the rotary drum 2 and the weight dropped on the drum 2 is delivered to the detector 5. The weight detected is converted into electric signal at the amplifier 6 to detect the flow of powder. Since the rotary drum 2 is made of copper plate, measurement is enabled for special powder such as food without adverse effect.
