Abstract

PURPOSE:To continuously conduct an extrusion operation by using an extruder capable of eliminating causes of clogging thereof, whose extruder is provided at its resin discharge port with a screen having an inclined portion diagonally crossing the direction, in which a resin is extruded, and a conical inner surface. CONSTITUTION:A screen is formed, which consists of a strainer 6 and a breaker plate 7 which are provided in a resin discharge port of a cylinder-barrel in an extruder. The strainer 6 is formed by a plurality of conically arranged ring members 8 which consist of cross-sectionally trapezoidal wires of different diameters and which are spaced from one another by a suitable distance alpha. These ring members 8 are connected together with radially disposed wires 9 to form an inclined portion 10 in the intermediate section thereof, and an outwardly protruded accumulator portion 11 in the central section thereof. The breaker plate 7 has a plurality of through bores 12 and is superposed on the strainer 6. Extraneous matter in a resin flows along the inclined portion to be collected in the accumulator portion 11. Accordingly, no clogging occurs.
