Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the need to install special hardware for a test by sending a fixed signal from a signal source to a channel highway and then by testing a channel according to whether this signal can be received and detected within a certain time. CONSTITUTION:Once a control signal is supplied from central controller 19, sound signal generator 18 sends a multi-frequency signal to a fixed time slot. This signal is temporarity stored in buffer memory 16 by way of selector 17 and then sent out to the fixed time slot of receiving channel highway HR2 by signal distributor circuit 12. By receiving this signal, multi-frequency receiver 15n converts it into a numeric code and reconverts it into a series signal, which is sent out to highway DH. This numeric code is sent to central controller 19 by way of highway DH. Here, if a touble occurs to highway HR2, controller 19 can not receive a corresponding numeric code from receiver 15n even after the certain time passes, so that it will be judged that the highway is in trouble.
