Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate load fluctuations owing to turning positions by using an arc- form motor used for the exposure-scanning driving device of a copying machine and providing a balancer which so controls the centroid of the moving portion consisting of a moving element and a mirror as to position on the centerline of the mirror turning axis.
CONSTITUTION: If it is assumed that the position of the centroid of a mirror 1 was at G1, the position of an arm 5 which is fitted at its one end to a fulcrum axis 2 is so adjusted and secured that the centroid of the moving portion other than the mirror comes on G2 on the line A-A connecting said position G1 and the turning center position O of the moving portion. As a result, the centroid of the entire part of the moving portion positions to G on the A-A line. Next, a balancer 10 is secured onto the face of the mirror 1 by means of a screw or the like. The balancer 10 is adjusted by cutting its length by l or other. The addition of the balancer 10 constitutes the device so that the centroid position G0 of the entire part of the moving portion aligns to the turning center O.
