Abstract

PURPOSE: To secure reduction of the current capacity of the power source through reduction of the load current at the make of the power source by providing the means to the power unit to negerate the 1st reference voltage to produce the normal output voltage and the 2nd reference voltage to produce the voltage lower than the normal voltage.
CONSTITUTION: At the make of the power source, temperature sensor 9 is controlled to the state under which reference voltage switch 5 is opened since the temperature within the load unit features the normal level. Thus low voltage VL obtained by dividing normal reference voltage VN8 via resistances R16 and R27 is sent to output voltage generation part 4 in the form of the reference voltage. And the current is supplied to load unit 2 via current supply line 10. As the output voltage is low, the current supplied to the load features a low level. The temperature rises up gradually since the current is consumed at unit 2. And when the temperature exceeds the prescribed level, sensor 9 closes switch 5. As a result, normal voltage NN is sent to part 4 from reference voltage generation part 3 to flow the normal current to the load. Thus the flow of the excessive load current can be avioded.
