The disks a1 are put one after another on the shell 2 of an iron roll core 1 and then put in a groove formed in a metal mold 3 and pressed under heat. This treatment makes the unvulcanized rubber vulcanized, which makes the group of disks solidly hardend and tightly fixed to the shell 2. The external circumference of the disks a1 is then grounded to finish and asbestos roll.
