Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance the ozone yield of a plate type ozonizer by bonding an enamel thin layer acting as a dielectric to the surface of each electrode plate in one by enameling and by actively cooling the dielectric with a refrigerant flowing through the refrigerant space of each electrode plate.
CONSTITUTION: Enamel thin layer 11 acting as a dielectric is bonded to the surface of each electrode plate 1 of the plate type ozonizer in one by enameling, and refrigerant space 2 is formed inside each plate 1. The flat plate portion of the ozonizer is provided with at least one pair of through holes 3 piercing through plate 1 and communicating with inner space 2 and at least one pair of through holes 4 piercing through plate 1 but not communicating with space 2. A plurality of plates 1 are set so that holes 3, 4 are alternately arranted on the same axis. Thus, dielectrics 11 are actively cooled with a refrigerant together with plates 1 to prevent accidents due to heating of dielectrics 11 as well as to enhance the ozone yield.
