PURPOSE:To reduce steps and shorten production time by forming screw threads with a pair of relatively moving dies on the leg part of a collared blank and so arranging the device that the working means moving integrally with the dies plastically works the collar part in coopration to the rotation of the blank. CONSTITUTION:In the case of thread-rolling, set-screws with hexagonal socket, the blanks 40 each having a collar part 42 at its top end are supplied one by one with thier leg part 41 being suspended, into dies 10, 20 by a marshalling feeder. When a moving die 10 moves from the blank entry side I of a stationary die 20 to the discharge side II, desired screw threads are gradually formed on the leg part 41. When the blank 40 is sent to the discharge side II, the end of the graded protruding wall 32 of a working block 30 gradually contacts the collar part 42 and since the blank is fed while rotating, the end part gradually bites into the collar part 42, thereby cutting the same.
