Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable the use of the TV receiver also for the monitor purpose by providing the luminance signal amplifiers individually to three sets of color difference amplifiers and furthermore to ensure the reproduction for the high-contrast picture featuring a sufficient degree of resolution for both cases of the TV receiver and the TV monitor. CONSTITUTION:When switches 15-18, 18' and 18'' are closed toward the contacts shown by the black circles, the color difference signals of R-Y, G-Y and B-Y are applied to transistors 9-11. At the same time, the luminance signals are applied to transistors 12, 12' and 12''. Thus the signals obtained trhough subtraction between the both signals are obtained through transistors 23-25 for reproduction of the picture. In this case, the frequency properties of the color difference signal does not feature a wide band, thus causing no deterioration of the S/N. While the luminance signal features a wide band properties. Accordingly, a picture featuring a sufficiently high degree of resolution can be reproduced by the luminance signal with no increment of the noise in the color component. While in case the characters or the like are reproduced in the form of the picture via the color signals for the monitor purpose, the above mentioned switches are turned toward the contacts shown by the white circles. Thus the reproduction becomes possible for the picture of the high resolution and high contrast without causing the cross-color or the dot disturbance.
