PURPOSE:To obtain a small and light device and at the same time to reduce cost, by placing an ignition coil concentric with the shaft of a distributor and using the shaft as the iron core of the iginition coil. CONSTITUTION:Coil assembly 19, iron core pipe 20 and shield plate 21 are placed inside housing 1. Holder 22 is fitted between cap 8 and housing 1. Gap 8 and housing 1 are clamped by clamper 24. High voltage is distributed to terminal 10 provided on cap 8 via cam head 5, which rotates close to secondary terminal 16 of coil assembly 19.
