Abstract
PURPOSE: To simplify the mechanism of an input device by arranging printing types on reverse surfaces of input keys, and by using a sensor which decomposes a type pattern into a dot pattern with a key depressed and then generates a character pattern from the pattern.
CONSTITUTION: On reverse surfaces of push-button system input keys 6, printing types 7 provided with convex parts corresponding to characters to be inputted are arranged and under those keys 6, anisotropic conductive rubber sheet 1 is arranged which is high in conductivity in its thickness direction and low in its surface direction. Further, electrode sheets 2 and 3 with electrodes 4 and 5 opposing with sheet 1 between the both are arranged and at edges of sheets 2 and 3, signal scan parts 8 and 9 and signal detection part 10 are formed. With key 6 pressed against sheets 2 and 3, electrodes 4 and 5 are made in airtight contact with parts corresponding character images of types 7 through sheet 1 and parts where electrodes 4 and 5 come in contact are made conductive to generate dot patterns, which are converted into character patterns through the scanning of scan parts 8 and 9 for monitor display of input characters.
