Abstract
PURPOSE: To coincide the digital time display with the analog time display on an electronic wrist watch by detecting the electrostatic capacitive change between special electrode on a dial plate and an electrode adhered onto the inner surface of a glass in the watch.
CONSTITUTION: A transparent mesa electrode 10 is adhered onto she inside of the surface glass of a wrist watch body 8, and a transparent mesa electrode 13 is adhered onto the character at twelve o'clock on the dial plate thereof. Substsnce 12 having different dielectric factor from that of she air is mounted at the end of asecondary hand to thereby detect the change of the electrostatic capacity between the electrodes upon passibf the electrodes 10 and so as to detect the position of the second hand. Thus, the digital display can be coincided with the analog display on the watch by using this detected signal therefrom.
