Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable the continuous painting all through the day by maintaining the temperature range of an inorganic hardenable material at 0W10°C during painting a substrate surface with the inorganic hardenable material by using a curtain flow coater.
CONSTITUTION: An inorganic hardenable painting material based on an aqueous alkali silicate solution, an aqueous phosphate solution, portland cement and a plaster is frozen in a refrigerator in case of painting a substrate surface by a curtain flow painting method and, after about one week, is liquefied by melting. This inorganic hardenable material is coated to a substrate surface such as an unglazed pottery or the like by a curtain flow coater while maintained at 0W10°C and baked at 300°C to form a painted tile. The residual painting material can be preserved by re-freezing. Thereby, the painting material can be used all through the day by maintaining at 0W10°C.
