Abstract

PURPOSE: To attenuate vibration of turbine rotor blades effectively, by giving such an inclination to the contact surface of rotor blade cover as can correct difference of expansion on the steam inlet side and the outlet side of rotor blades at the top end portion thereof that is caused by the centrifugal force acted with rotion of turbine.
CONSTITUTION: Rotor blade 2 connected to the turbine rotor is formed at its top end portion with eave 3 which extends perpendicularly to the length of rotor blade 2 and has a projection on both of upstream side 3a and downstream side 3b of the blade. Rotor blades 2 are connected with each other by inserting pins 5, 6 formed on rotor blade cover 4 into respective holes 15 in eave 3 and caulking one (5) of the pins. Here, contact surface 7a of cover 4 on the side of caulked pin 5 is formed in parallel with eave portion 3b so as to be brought into area contact with the eave portion 3b, and at the same time, contact surface 7b is given with inclination such that it is lower on the side of pin 5. By employing such an arrangement in which contact between cover 4 and eave 3 is caused in area, vibration of rotor blades can be attenuated effectively.
