Abstract
PURPOSE: To attain uniform distribution of temperature over the surface of gas- turbine blades, by forming a plurality of radially extended cooling holes having the cross-sectional shape at a predetermined depth beneath the blade surface, and changing the intervals between these cooling holes to suit distribution of heat transmitted from combustion gas.
CONSTITUTION: Cooling air 11 bled out from compressor is introduced into header 12 formed in rotor blade 10 and then into cooling holes 16 formed between outer metal plate 17 and structural core 14. Here, since the sectional configuration of these cooling holes is substantially the same, distribution of cooling air to the cooling holes 16 is uniform so that their cooling capacity is substantially equal to each other. As for cooling at the trailing edge of the blade, cooling air is issued to the outside from slit 15. In the above arrangement, distances S between adjacent cooling holes 16 are adjusted to suit distribution of heat transmitted from combustion gas. Thus, distribution of temperature over the surface of blades can be made uniform independently of the distribution of heat transmitted from combustion gas, since cooling capacity of cooling holes 16 is substantially equal.
