Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a satellite repeating installation which can perform the mutual connection between the grounds through the switching of the spot beam in a simple constitution. CONSTITUTION:The following units are provided: N-units of low-noise amplifier 3 which amplifies signal A of N-units of up-likes (the link from the earth station to the satellite) given from each ground and with every ground; power compounding unit 7 to compound the output of amplifier 3; circuit 4 to amplify the output of unit 7 as well as to perform the frequency conversion; power divider 8 to divide the output of circuit 4 into N-units; several units of variable phase shifter 5 which are connected to every output of divider 8; plural units of transmitting power amplifier 6 which are connected to the output of shifter 5; N-terminal directional coupler 9 to be connected between the output of each amplifier 6 and transmission antennas 2-1-2-N; and switch control unit 10 which is connected to shifter 5 and controls the phase shifting amount of shifter 5 in accordance with the destination of the signals.
