Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce torque ripples in a simple constitution, by controlling an input dc voltage of an inverter which switches armature windings at a constant value in a multi-phase synchronization motor having armature windings of a plurality of phases and fields comprising a plurality of poles.
CONSTITUTION: Transistors 21∼26 which constitute an inverter 2 are controlled by a conduction controller 4 depending on the output of a rotating position sensor 5, thereby the inverter 2 is driven. Since the output Vf from a sensor 8 which senses an input dc voltage Vdc is combined with an established reference signal Vs and a transistor 6 is controlled by an amplifier 7, the voltage Vdc is controlled at a constant value. Furthermore, since a load resistor R0 is inserted in series with the motor windings as shown in the Figure in order to make the resistance value RM of the winding of a field-rotating 3-phase motor 1 variable, the peak value of the voltage induced in the winding in series connection becomes equal to the peak value of the resistance drop, and the minimum values become also equal, thereby torque ripples can be reduced.
