Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce NOx in a burner in which a blown off preventing burner cylinder which burns heavy oil, etc., is provided in the center and plural gas nozzles are arranged around the cylinder, by strengthening the flame holding capacity of a part of the gas nozzles and using them as stabilizing burners.
CONSTITUTION: Among plural gas nozzles 1 around a cylinder 2 arranged in the center, one gas nozzle 1a is passed through the tip or the impeller 3 of the cylinder 2 which is a heavy oil burner, and is arranged so that the tip of the gas nozzle 1a may be located near the tip of the cylinder 2. Then, the gas nozzle 1a is always burnt steadily by the heavy oil combustion of the cylinder 2 and functions as a stabilizing burner. By strengthening the flame holding capacity of such a gas nozzle 1a and making it function as a stabilizing burner, stabilized combustion is secured and the reduction of NOx is realized.
