Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform container loading work in high efficiency by arranging movable rails shiftable between the outside of a ship and the inside of a hatch, passing through the opening formed on the outside plate of the ship and allowing a crane to travel reciprocally along the movable rails.
CONSTITUTION: When a door 5 is elevated and an opening 4 is opened, movable rails 9 are moved in reciprocation along fixed rals 7 through the operation of pinion and rack and projects from the opening 4. In the state of projection of the movable rails 9, the container 31 on a quay 38 is lifted by the spreader 21 of a crane 19, then the crane 19 is shifted toward the hatch 2 along the movable rails 9, and also the movable rails 9 are shifted along the fixed rails 7. After shifting, it is enough to lower the container on a proper flat car 35 which is waiting in hatch 2.
